Orlando, Florida natives and US dance music soldiers AK1200 and CC Rock team up for some wicked drum & bass business, featuring vocal samples from Phife Dawg of Tribe Called Quest. The track starts off with a sweet, hip-hop half speed intro building up with melodic strings, quirky electro synths, and Phife Dawg beckoning you to “let your mind be free”. The track then explodes into a Drum & Bass fury, with sick breakbeats, booming sub-bass, digital synth stabs, and grinding bass wobbles. The main breakdown drops back to half speed, just in time to introduce a tweaked out girl vocal into the mix, building higher with rising FX, then dropping back into the Drum & Bass sickness. The outro brings back the melodic strings for a smooth, DJ friendly mix out. 3 remixes are included with this release: ‘Noel Sanger’s Dissident Remix’ delivers the goods with an epic Trance feel, with pulsating basslines, layered percussions, and tranced out synth work. This track is ready for some big room action. The UK trio, A Dominant Species drops it hard with a vicious bass fueled Nu Skool Breaks remix. Tight breaks and earth shattering bass are in full control, with chopped girl vocals, old school bleeps, and twisted LFO warps. Aleksus Sanchez brings the tribal house flavor with his ‘House Of Cards Remix’. Deep tribal house with glitched out samples, organic percussions, over driving 4x4 beats.
